Degree Show

For the BA Art and Design 2024 Degree Show I produced a film documenting the electronic music scene in both Leeds (where I studied), and Edinburgh (my home). As a student, I was particularly drawn to the raw DIY culture inherent in dance music, namely the practice of students converting unused basements into makeshift clubs for house parties. The film features an interview with Harpriya (a local DJ) describing her experiences rising through the underground electronic music scene as a student in Leeds. The work aims to highlight the unifying power of music, bringing people together from intimate clubs to large industrial spaces.
