Sculpture No.4

As an artist, I have always investigated my own creativity, pushing myself to uncover the fundamental reasons behind my passion for making things. This curiosity has been supplemented by reading The Creative Act by Rick Rubin and studying the work of Joseph Beuys. In this project, I approached creativity as a scientific experiment, testing the way I create under strict conditions. I set clear restrictions: three hours, limited materials, and the rule that any work produced would be burned and destroyed the following day.

The act of destruction, rather than being a loss, became liberating - freeing me from over-attaching to the outcome and allowing me to explore the process in a more authentic way. The goal was to reconnect with a more childlike way of creating, rather than approaching the process with an overly rational, adult mindset. The process was recorded and turned into a short film, further emphasising the creative process.
